Re: Lupron-Keep changing my mind!!!

Marci, I am 10 years older than you. My uterus was very diseased (adeno and pelvic congestion) so my doc was more than happy to take it out. However, even at my age he did not want to take my ovaries (and neither did I) You are keeping your ovaries, right? (I might not remember all of your story, sorry) I work part time (20 hours a week) and returned to work at 10 hours per week at week 5. The hardest part of recovery is the exhaustion. The pain is really only bad for a few days and you have pain medication after that the exhaustion really wears you down. Also, it is so important not to lift anything because then you will have PAIN! I really could have returned to work earlier but my work is very stressful (I am a crisis social worker) and was just not up to it and luckily finances allowed me to take my time returning. What are your reasons for the hysterectomy? What does you doc say? Oh, my cycles are the same. Same old PMS (lucky husband) and I still can tell when I ovulate. I know that some women have their ovaries go into shock after a partial hyst and take a few weeks to start working. Not mine, no problem. Because I still can track my cycles it will make it easy to see if any returning pain correlates with my cycles. I am glad you found hystersisters informative. I just think it is important for every woman to make a decision based on her own research. It then allows you a comfort in your decision. Ada At Fri, 28 Dec 2007, Marci wrote: >
