I traveled from Greenville, SC to Atlanta, GA for surgery with dr. Sinervo. I think it went pretty well. Everyone was so nice and made me feel comfortable. They took such good care of me while I was there. I had surgery in July with a Dr. in St. Louis (I recently moved to SC) and comparing the two experiences, the first surgery was more like surgery in the back of a van. I moved and sent my info to the cec and they said they could help me and that the first surgery was very superficial. They found alot of endo still on my right side (where most of it was before) some on my left and some on my cul-de-sac. (and i read on here that they can't use laser excsion to remove it there but they got it out, they wouldn't just leave it there that's crazy talk) they looked inside my uterus (last surgery they didn't) and found a fibroid ( i had been saying for months it felt like there was something in there that shouldn't be.) and since my pain was mostly on the right side they took my apendix out just to be safe. (dr. said all the inflamation could be irritaing it or it could get irritated after the surgery) I wanted to let everyone know (like you haven't heard already) that the people at the cec are great, caring, compasionate people. i also have a question. have any of you ever got a pinched nerve after you woke up from a surgery? I can see how it would be possible them moving you all about when your limp. I had my sciatic nerve pinch, it was freaking terrible. it's better now unless i walk for to long but alot better now. I also wonder to any of you who have gotten your apendix out at an age you can remember, how long were you sore from it, its been 2 weeks to the day now and it is quite sore and achy on my right side right where my apendix was. I know it's no infection or anything bad just healing but i just want to know how long abouts it's gonna be hurting me. thank you.
