Dr. Fox of Jacksonville, Fl is wonderfulFrom: Dana (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Nov 29 16:25:02 2007
Hey all, I'm back and Dr. Fox was wonderful. He was informative, gentle, kind, and understanding. He was the first doctor I really felt comfortable with. He worked with me and performed the ultrasound himself. He also gave me a lot of true facts about endometriosis. It does not grow back after a laproscopic procedure. He said a lot of local gyns are stuck in that way of thinking. The reason why it feels like it grew back or there is still pain may be due to tissues never extracted or linked to other pains in the abdomine. Anyway, aside from that, my diagnosis was a grim one. I am only 22 years old and already in a perimenopausal state. My right ovary is dead, my uterus looks like a bloated egg plant instead of a happy upside down pear, I have a hernia on the front side of my uterus, heavy endo tissues, and a diseased/inflammed andometrium.(he believes most of this was pre-natal) I am to have surgery in January to correct everything. Unfortunately, he said I am one of the worst patients he has ever seen in his practice. He said I am so young yet so advanced. He said he would see something like this in a woman who is in her mid 30's. My chances of having children are very low and I will most likely hit menopause by my early 30's. Its a great deal to take in at this time for me. I'm overwhelmed. But I have every confidence in him that he knows what he's doing. He has been approved and works with the endo-association. If Anyone here would like more info on him or how to reach his office let me know. Thank you, to everyone who has supported me.
