I think maybe you need to ask him why he sees surgery as a temporary fix and ask him what sort of surgical technique he used. I only know this cause my old doctor used laser and it returned within 3 years and my new surgeon says it returns much quicker if you don't cut it out. Some doctors are better at finding it too. As the previous poster said, many doctors won't admit endo is beyond them.
