I had hot flashes at 32, because one taking the pill somehow blocked my natural hormone receptors in my body, my estrogen was through the roof and I had nearly NO progesterone. I bet your doctor only checked your thyroid, CBC panel, (liver function), glucose and the routine stuff like that.

One hormone that can tell you if you are having menopause-like symptoms is the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG). It should be 18-114 and mine was 253!! I was having hot flashes all over the place and it was so embarassing! My progesterone was also only a 2, when it should be a 14-30. Taking progesterone helped lower my SHBG down to a 78.
