I don't what Dr. Redwine's opinion is of natural progesterone, but he sounds like a great doctor and he is the one I would go to for surgery if I could afford to go to Oregon for it. I just know there are very few doctors who prescribe it, because they don't make much money on it and there is only one patented version of it (Prometrium) (the rest is just called progesterone) and it is fairly inexpensive. All I know is, it's worked wonders for me, I have researched it a lot, does not have any of the side effects of synthetic hormones and I feel very safe taking it. My family doctor is the one who started me on it and it is the ONLY thing I have taken in 20 years that has helped me with my endo symptoms. Now, it is nearly impossible to get into see my doctor if you are a new patient, because women are telling all their friends about the progesterone and they are going to him to get scripts for it! :) Most of his patients are women who want help for their endo symptoms or menopause symptoms. The pharmacy I go to for it has been featured on the Dr. Phil Show and Dr. Phil's wife goes there to get her progesterone too. They are from Dallas. There is a picture of them on the wall there. lol It is in Irving, TX. Here is the link: http://www.lascolinaspharmacy.com/ Here is a site that tells about progesterone cream - I guess it has similar benefits and you don't need a script for this.....I have never tried their product though. Everything they claim about natural progesterone is true, I promise. http://www.natural-progesterone-advisory-network.com/index.php
