I am so glad I found this forumFrom: Melissa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Oct 31 22:52:09 2007
My name is Melissa. I am 34 years old. I have had pelvic pain and extreme nausea since my early twenties. I cannot count how may jobs I lost due to pain. I have been extremely depressed at times and am always so fatigued that I feel like I am not being a good mother to my 9 yr old son. My husband, parents, siblings, and friends always thought I was "making excuses" for missing get togethers, work, vacations, etc. They thought I was over reacting and that my pain could not be so bad as I would describe to them. I have missed out on so many things in my life and the Doctors could never give me a good reason as to my pain, fatigue, nausea, etc. My family doctor just this week suggested I might have endo. Since reading about the symptoms and everyone's posts, I am crying as I type this because this is EXATLY what I have been dealing with all of these years!!! Why didn't anyone ever bring this diagnosis up? I am going back to my doctors office Friday, but not sure what questions to ask.. but I know now that I am not letting anyone tell me this is all my head anymore. I just hope I don't lose my current job because of all the time I have missed. I want to thank everyone who has posted- I know now that I am not alone as I thought I was once was.
