-- I also have stage 4 Endometriosis that has spread to my bowels. There is no cure for this disease let me make that clear. It is extremely painful as well. I went to an expert named Dr. David Redwine in Bend, Oregon for my third surgery. He is an expert in Endometriosis like Dr. Cook. I too had to pay 9,000 cash upfront in order to have him do my surgery. He is not in my insurance network. I had two partial bowel resections done with him and I do not have a colostomy bag today. My in-network doctors told me I would have to have a colostomy bag because it was so bad. All of my organs are stuck together in a ball due to the large amount of adhesions I have from the disease. There is nothing they can really do for that either. This creates more pain as well. I have also had a complete hysterectomy. I am 40 years old now. I was 36 when I had that surgery. I can have no harmone replacement either!

This ia a horrible disease to have. I hope you give your friend all of the support you can. I take medication everyday to control my pain even after 4 major surgeries. I am not cured but I am better than I was. I have since adopted my only child which was nothing but a blessing from God. My marriage I am sorry to say did not make it. Being this sick and not being able to have children or sex for that matter can really strain even the best marriage.
