Another surgery?From: Ally (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Oct 28 08:57:05 2007
I just had a diagnostic lap on Sept. 5th. The Dr. drained endometriomas from my ovaries and attempted to fix one of my tubes. He said it should be good enough to get pregnant and my RE recommended Clomid/IUI to help conceive. We then got a second opinion from a well-known endo specialist. He saw on u/s that I have cysts again (1 is 4x3 cm) just 7 weeks post-op along with endo on my bowel and vagina. He recommends complete excision surgery before fertility drugs. He indicated that the presence of any endo will make conception difficult. My concern is the effects (such as adhesions) that another surgery might have on my ability to conceive in the first place. I feel like a rock in a hard place. Any thoughts?
