Re: whole set of brand new symtoms not even sure if connectedFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netFri Oct 26 13:47:44 2007
Hi, Tammy, Just some thoughts for you. I have had experiences where birth control pills cause migraines (not immediately for some reason, but after my body adjusts to them...) I think that there is a possibility of the birth control contributing to your migrains...or perhaps your hormones are reacting to something else? Have you ever had migraines before? I have been getting canker sores recently as well. I have a friend who insists that I eat too much acidic food (tomatoes, acidic fruits, juices, etc.) and that I need to drink a glass of water with baking soda. Interestingly enough, this actually works pretty well - takes some time, and I had to do it every day for a little while - nasty taste. You may want to watch your diet? and perhaps try the baking soda thing, or at least for now try to limit acidic foods until the canker sores get under control. Infections can be caused by many different things (and many are of the opinion that endo is a disease having to do with the immune system being deficient or over zealous...) Do you clean your earrings with alcohol often? I have always had problems with getting infections from ear rings. If I choose to wear them, I often have to soak the earrings in alcolol first, then swab my ears, and then put the ear rings in. Also, if you have been talking on the phone more frequently or using earphones more frequently, you're probably at higher risk for infections in the earring holes... It sounds generally, though, like much of this can be caused by extreme stress. You're obviously worried about having to deal with daily pain again. I can see how that would cause lots of stress! Do you feel more stressed out or edgy lately? Sleeping okay? Migraines, canker sores and infections all can be the result of stress. You would be suprised by how much it actually affects us! As to the knees giving out, I have no idea why that would happen either. BUT, I was kicked by a horse at 14 and now I may have to have surgery for my left knee because I never addressed it at 14. That has nothing to do with endo for me. I've heard that endo can grow anywhere, so I would not presume to say that it couldn't affect your knees, but I think it is probalby unlikely.... Have you had any knee pain or knee problems in the past? Done anything recently to hurt them? Sorry for so many questions, but I wanted to let you know that I have dealt with similar things. Good luck. I hope you feel better. I hope some of this helps. Julie
