I really don't understand it either, honestly. I have been on birth control pills/patch/shot/nuvaring. However, my body has been reacting negatively...as if my body has become "immuned"...causing me to bleed through the month, rather than just the 'sugar pill' week. I haven't understood it for quite some time. The only reason I continue to take such things is for birth control purposes. There are types of pills that have different levels of estrogen in them. But, seeing how many doctors...including my own do not really believe in hormones and their impacts...women, such as me are used as guinea pigs...put on pill after pill for "trial" periods of time to 'wait and see' which one works.

It is a very frusterating thing for me.
