I have taken Amitriptyline and Nortriptyline both did nothing for my pain. To make matters worse, I am bi-polar (unmedicated) and it made me go into a manic state... Yeah.. that stuff was a blast... They also, told me it would help me with my insomnia... No such luck. I told my doctor it wasn't working and stopped taking it. I've also taken Neurontin... That didn't help.
