Estrogen can make Endo worse...wish doctors would see this

All of us would truly benefit from reading this page about Estrogen. As some of you know, my theory is that my endo was caused by starting out with estrogen dominance at puberty and my hormones were never in balance, until my general practitioner finally tested them and fixed them 5 years ago. I feel a lot better than I used to, but still have pain due to the endo that was stimulated to grow from all those BC pills I took.

As you will read in this page, it is very possible to start off with a hormone imbalance, being exposed to xenoestrogens in pesticides, plastics and chemicals while you are a child. That, can, and I think does, contribute to having endo as an adult.

DDT (a pesticide) was outlawed in the US because it was found to contain dangerous chemicals as well as xenoestrogens, but produce from other countries that still contains DDT, makes it into our grocery stores here in the US.

My best friend's little girl (13) has had to be taken out of school lately for excruciating painful periods. She started puberty at age 8. The doctors of course, want to put her on birth control pills, without even knowing what her current hormone levels are. Wouldn't it make more sense to get her levels tested and fixed, than put her on the pill for years and years and then to end up like us? My friend is taking my advice and having her tested and if her estrogen is through the roof, I think that can help open some eyes to this epidemic.

When it comes time, if your children have these symptoms, would you want them to take something natural to balance their hormones or put them on the pill, that comes with the warnings of blood clot, stroke, heart attack, breast cancer....

My specialist said that the pill only inhibits the growth of endo in your uterus, while endo outside your uterus reacts differently and grows like wildfire, when exposed to estrogen. So, why do doctors keep giving all these women birth control pills to "cure" them? I wish I knew then what I know now.

D posted an article a while back that said in some places in the US there are sexual mutations in fish due to the fact that there is so much estrogen in the water from all the women in the US being on the pill, and their urine going into the water....

Somehow we all need to make these doctors see that estrogen and Lupron are no help and are much more harmful than helpful. They need to work on something that can be a real cure, rather that just a band-aid that's going to cause us harm later in life.

Just feeling frustrated today....thanks for listening.
