I had the tubes into my incisions that pumped pain meds. They called it "on-Q". I know that it helped, because it kept the whole area numb...That along with the oral pain meds made recovery not so bad. I am three weeks now, still recoverying (i also had uterus removed). I get so tired and have aches and twinges but it has been so much better than I feared.
