I can't believe how similar our histories are. I didn't get my period
til age 12, but I started developing at age 8 as well. Looking at that
website about estrogen dominance, makes me truly believe now, that so
many women including us, start off with a bad hormone imbalance because
of consuming such things as produce with pesticides and xenoestrogens
and meat from animals that are given hormones.
All the years of being on the pill made me start having all the
peri-menopause symptoms, which includes irregular bleeding all the time,
just like you are having. I think the pill is doing that to you, I
really do.
I had wayyy more ovarian cysts ON THE PILL, than off the pill and that's
what the pill is supposed to prevent, so they say. And, losing all that
blood makes you anemic and exhausted. Have you thought about trying an
all progestin synthetic BC pill? Like that Ortho Microner Lisa mentioned
on this forum?
I get so swollen too around my period - I have literally retained 15
pounds of water before and none of my clothes fit during that week. This
is so frustrating. My last period was horrible, just got over it
yesterday, after 8 days of heavy bleeding and severe cramps! It's
usually 2-3 days, so I don't know what the heck is going on. I upped my
progesterone from 150mg to 300mg, because I feel like I'm starting to
have those menopause symptoms again. I had hot flashes all week as well
as a fever. I felt so weak this whole time, when I started to do a few
light errands, I almost fainted. The progesterone has made me feel so
much better than I used to feel, but I fear that it's starting to not
work anymore. I'm starting to feel like I used to and it scares me.
