Going to see my RE tomorrow - need advice

From: Mary (anonymous@obgyn.net)

I am going to see my RE tomorrow. I have endo bad - 2 surgeries, and in the recent one in June, doc removed 6 endometriomas, part of my right ovary and tube. I already had part of my left ovary removed due to a large endometrioma that ruptured years ago [horrible experience!!.

Question: I do not do well with the synthetic hormones, and I am questioning whether or not to have another surgery. I have bad pain, nauseau, sinus joy, etc. pretty much all the time. I have had my hormones tested a few times. My RE says they are WNL - within normal limits, but when I was pregnant with my son I had to take progesterone supplements - they told me I had low progesterone. I also have no energy at all lately. Again, doc says it is most likely due to the endometrioma that my body is fighting [I have 2 new ones less than 1 month after surgery!]. MY RE is a very good doctor, but he used a laser to remove many of the lesions I had along with excision. I have an appt. to see an excision specialist next week, but I really like my doctor. He had me on Femara, but I was not able to sleep for about 2 weeks while I was taking this so I stopped

Any advice you can give? What kinds of questions should I ask him? I want to make the most of my visit, and not just get pushed out the door like I usually do with a useless script for hormones that I wont be able to tolerate for very long.

Thanks for the support, and sorry soooo long.
