Re: could my endometriosis have returned?

Any birth control pill will mask the symptoms of endo for a while, but eventually the estrogen in the pill makes endo grow back and become painful again. I was on the pill continuously too forever, and eventually, i got way worse!!! You must avoid taking the pill if you can or get on some kind of progesterone only BC pill. Progesterone supresses estrogen. My theory is that endo starts because a lot of women start off with a hormone imbalance, with a very high estrogen level and the birth control pill raises that level even higher, which is not good. Read my July 7th post and see what you think and see if you have any of the symptoms that I had.

I take an herbal progesterone that has made me feel much better for 5 years, but now, I am starting to get my pain and more bleeding, but women in my family go through menopause at 38, and I am almost 37, so I'm thinking that's starting to creep up on me. I really believe with all my heart that birth control pills eventually make endo worse and doctors bank on that, because then they want us on Lupron, anti-depressants and Hormone Replacement Therapy to fix what the pill has done to us, which all costs a fortune and makes them a lot of money! I think balancing your hormones is the key to start fighting this disease and feeling like yourself again. I wish you all the best. Read my earlier post and see what you think.

Sincerely, Andrea
