Re: Endo after hysterectomy and Lupron

I still have my uterus but I have been on Lupron for almost 6 mo. I have a laparotomy in Feb 07 for endometriomas. At first I was misserable with hot flashes, joint pain, headaches, and insomnia. I went on Aygestin which is an add back therapy and all was better except for the joint pain once in a while. The Lupron did not shrink my endo as I have had to have another lap in Aug for pain and I am having one next week to remove endo from my rectum and bladder. So I will have had 3 surgeries in 7 mo. When did you have the hyster? I would have surgery to remove the endo. That is the only way to get rid of it. If you still have your ovaries it will just come back from the estrogen after the Lupron wears off and endo produces its own estogen to feed off of. That is just my honest opinion. I thought the Lupron would shrink or get rid of the remaining endo and I was in shock when I saw the pics of my insides after being on it for so long. It wasn't worth the risks I took to my joints and bones. I also got the every 3 mo injections so I was stuck with it in my system. Good luck. Just make sure to do a lot of research online.
