Re: lupron before lap surgery?

Grace,

I respect your decision. I know it is not my right to tell you not to get the shot, I just wanted you to be well-informed about the drug first. I know some women however, where their side effects were not reversible, but I hope that you had a low enough dosage that you will not be affected too much. One thing of advice, take extra calcium supplements, because Lupron can mess with your bone mass. And the only add-back (if given) should be in some form of progestin such as Agestyn or progesterone, not estrogen. That can reduce your menopausal symptoms. I wish you the best, Grace and hope your surgery goes as well as it can! Please take a look at this site, it gives great advice on how to prepare for a lap surgery: http://www.endo-resolved.com/laparoscopy_advice.html

Take Care!
