Re: lupron before lap surgery?

Grace,

Many doctors tell us we need Lupron when we don't! It may temporarily shrink lesions or help the endo pain, but it creates other types of pain and some of the side effects can be permanent. Several women who I feel close to on here have suffered devastating results from Lupron, and now their endo pain is returning too. Is your doctor a specialist? Having Lupron in your system can be harmful to an embryo or fetus and it seems like no one really knows how long it takes for the Lupron to totally get out of the system. Please read all of these Lupron links, before letting the doctor give it to you, ok? Make sure you feel 100% comfortable with what a doctor wants to give you or do to you and that the doctor is honest. I think some doctors "sell" us Lupron because the can see our desperation to get pain relief, or have a baby.

Feel free to e-mail me anytime too, if you want to chat further.

Take care, Andrea
