bowel incontinence due to endometriosis?From: Pam (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun Sep 23 21:57:55 2007
I am 46 years old and have had endometriosis since the age of 16. I have been on birth control pills and have had 2 laproscopic surgeries to remove endometriosis from ovaries and uterus. My last surgery was 2 years ago but about 4 months ago my symptons are recurring. I am having the usual symptons of pelvic and back pain along with heaviness in the pelvic area and pain during intercourse. Along with the regular symptoms I now have 2 new problems to which I am wondering may be caused by the endometriosis. First, during the last year I have had blood showing up in my urine. My family doctor sent me to a urologist who ran several tests that were negative and even though the blood is still in my urine he cannot find a reason for it. Second, and most disturbing is that during intercourse I feel like I am going to loose control of my bowels. I was wondering if anyone else who may have these same symptoms has any information if it linked to their endometriosis. Thanks! Pam
