Andrea is right on this one...my husband and I have an HMO and can't
switch to PPO until his open enrollment period in jan. I applied with
Blur Cross PPO to see if I could get to Dr. Redwine sooner and have the
possibility of some coverage for the surgery. The denied me because of
the Endo and stated in the letter that I needed to be "free of any
symptoms of Endo for 12 months" before I could be reconsidered. I
thought that was funny (not really) because Endo is a chronic disease!
How could I not have symptoms for 12 months?! Geez!
Anyways, I wish you the best in figuring all of this out. I sounds like
you have a lot of stress going on and the pain you are having is not
making things any easier. Take Andrea's advice! Get as much help as you
can, be your own advocate, and don't take no for an answer!
