I haven't taken synphasic, but I was on a different type of phasic pill a few years ago and it made me really moody and b****y. I switched to a different pill that had the same amount of estrogen and progestin all month long and felt a whole lot better, but I don't really know why.

Sounds like you are having menstrual migraines - do they occur around your period? Here's an article that might help:
