Yeah I dont think Dr.s understand how much pain Endo actually causes. The problem is I dont see a reg OBGYN I see a Dr. who specializes in Endo and Pelvic Pain. Hes the first Dr. I found who I trust when it comes to the surgery aspect of having Endo. He's a great surgeon but his bed side manner could improve some. I dont want to lose him as a surgeon but I dont want to go to another Dr. for the pain because I feel like he would see that as Dr. hopping or something. He's asked me if I would be willing to go to a pain clinic but I've already been there. I as put on methadone and gave steroid epidurals. Things were going OK until my mom started going there for her ICS. I was dropped from the program shortly after. When I got my records I saw that the psychologist you had to see if you went there had got my mother and my records all mixed up. There were things in my records that had pertained to my mother and treatments she's done and in her records there were things I had done. I was on methadone for 6 months. They gave me less than a month warning to ween down from the methadone and then they weren't even going to prescribe anything to help me before I could find a new Dr. I had to beg and the lady who was filling in for my Dr. prescribed me 15 percocet and gave me some paperwork on studies that were done stating that pelvic pain was all in your head and that I could go to a "mental hospital" were they treat that sort of thing. I wish I would have kept those papers. When she handed them to me and left the room I started crying I was so offended and I never really did get an answer on why they dropped me from my treatment. I don't know its just so frustrating. They didn't believe in my pain. I wanted to say well why would you go through with giving me two steroid epidurals that had horrible side effects if you didn't believe I was in Pain. Even pain clinics do not want to treat pain so why would reg Dr.s IM on prescription 800mg Ib now and it does help but not enough. I guess ill have to explore my options of dropping my surgeon and finding someone who treats pain and maybe a little less skilled in endo removal. Thanks for your reply and for reading this I know this was really long I just needed to Vent. Jessica
