Does anyone know of any non narcotic prescription pain meds out there that are not ultram. My pharmacist just informed me that I shouldn't take Ultram and my antidepressant amitryptalin together because it could cause serotonin syndrom. It took my Dr. along time to write me anything for the pain at all and I know he wouldn't be comfortable putting me on narcotic pain meds as much as I am on the ultram. He prescribes 1 ultram every 4 2 6 hours for the pain. I try to not take them on a reg basis and Sometimes that doesn't even help but I feel I shouldn't ask for anything stronger because he might just stop helping me altogether. So I'm trying to find an alternative to the Ultram and something that works just as good or better without being a narcotic. Thanks Ladies
