Breakthrough bleedingFrom: Liz (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Sep 10 08:59:09 2007
Hi all, I'm on continuous birth control, no periods (hypothetically!), to try to help control my endo and symptoms. When my GYN put me on this pill, she told me I might get some breakthrough bleeding, and if I do, that I should just stop taking the pill for a couple of days and that would stop it. But when I do that, I get my period, which is excruciating - not to mention probably making the endo worse. I'm spotting again and REALLY don't want to get my period. Does anyone know what will happen if I DON'T stop taking the pill? Will the bleeding just continue indefinitely? Or stop on its own? I did some research on my own and found conflicting answers. Of course! I'm currently looking for a new doctor - a specialist - so I don't have a GYN I can call and ask. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you thank you to everyone here... -Liz
