Re: Do I tell Him?

Well, I guess look at it this way - if he proposed to you and you accepted and found out later he has a disease that may interfere with his fertility (and possibly his ability to do a lot of things) and he kept it from you, how would you feel?

It sounds like your surgery didn't work very well - endo is a progressive disease, so I wouldn't expect to be able to hide it forever, but you might be able to get significant relief with a doctor who has the skills to thoroughly remove whatever endo/adhesions were left behind. There are only a handful of really good excision specialists, but they get very good results with low recurrence rates. Reading through this forum is a good way to learn more, there are also some helpful links at the bottom of this post.

I hope you'll tell your boyfriend what's going on. Endo can effect our lives on every level, and if you are going to marry him I think he deserves the chance to help you and be a part of all of your life!

I can tell you with absolute certainty that there are guys out there who will completely accept and support you and your endo - my boyfriend and I got together at the same time my endo was flaring up and becoming a constant, chronic problem. He's been with me every inch of the way. I was single for years before I got together with him, I thought I'd never find anyone even before I got sick. But love isn't about whether you have a disease or not!
