Some Helpful InformationFrom: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Aug 30 10:02:01 2007
About 6 months ago, my doctor diagnosed me with Endometriosis. Just as most of you women, I was in pain two and half weeks out of the month, taking off from work because I was in pain or even at work under my desk, did not want my husband to touch me and would not go out and be social. As well as having Endometriosis, I am a Diabetic (type II). My gynecologist is not very nice and he just put me on pain medication, which had me doped up for weeks at a time. Anyhow, when I went back to my Diabetic Endometriosis he told me that the pain medicine was not going cure the endometriosis. Therefore, I literally just stop taking the medicine. My diabetic doctor put me on Gloucaphage/ Metformin to control my diabetes. Well to my belief, the metformin actually helps with endometriosis. For 2 months now, I have not a cramp not in the floor crying my eyes out nothing. The only down fall is the first 2 weeks of taking the medication you have diarrhea. I am taking 1000 mg twice and day I swear all pain and cramping is gone. Just one thing now is this month I have not had a cycle and I think I am pregnant. If you don’t want to get pregnant you will have to use protection. I hope that this helps… It wont hurt to inquire……
