Hello Natasha....im 24 and just diagnosed with endo by a laparoscopy in April of this year. At my post op appt my gyn also said that lupron would be the best next step. I had heard really bad things about it, so i went in for a second opinion. Well my second opinion also said to go for lupron. So i did. June 26 i went in for my first shot of lupron. I also took the add back therapy. Everything was ok, one or two hot flashes and the pain did increase just a lil but nothing bad. BUT....about 11 days after i got the shot i began w/this HORRIBLE joint pain in both of my arms. To best describe it, it was a burning/pain sensation deep in the bone, in both arms from my wrist to my shoulder. That weekend i decided i wasnt gng to even try a second shot. My doctor agreed and said that next we can try the depo shot, BUT i cant take that either because it makes me get bad side effects. Im not trying to scare or anything, i like you had so many questions and doubts but i knew that i had to give it a try! Maybe i could of been one of the lucky ones, who didnt get any bad side effects! But it didnt turn out like that. That was the only one side effect that did freak me out, well besides now i realized my hair is starting to fall out too! Another side effect! I wish you the best in making your decision!! And trust your instincts!K...Only you know how much pain and suffering you are gng through, and only you can make the final decision! Pls, keep us in the loop! Take Care, Steph :)
