4 grams of acetaminophen is the most you should take in one day, if you are taking it for an extended period of time that amount would be somewhat less. If the pills are 500mg that is only 8 pills in a day, so it can be easy to go over that.

You could try NSAIDs, like ibuprofen or naproxen, but they can be very hard on your stomach and even cause ulcers.

Any idea what is causing all the headaches?
