I have to tell you, that it absolutely makes me furious that your doctors won't give you pain meds you need! I ran into so many doctors over the last 10 years who were pushing me to take Lupron, but when I requested pain meds they would immediately say "Cramps can't be bad enough to prescribe narcotics!"

I'm like, "You will put me on this shot that's going to give me all these side effects and put me in menopause, but you wont give me something that will cause less harm to my body and help the pain?" It makes absolutely no sense to me. If we are that desperate to put ourselves through early menopause to get cramp relief, shouldn't that tell them that we are in THAT MUCH PAIN?

One doctor commented that I must not be that desperate for pain relief if I wouldn't try Lupron. That seems to be their answer for everyone. The last doctor who tried to bully me into taking Lupron was surprised by my answer. I said "If you would give this shot to your own wife or daughter, I will take it." He shut up right then and there and of course, I never went back to him.

I know it is frustrating and tiring to change doctors, but if they are not giving you what you need, you have to be strong and know there is somone else out there who WILL help you. Keep looking! I have 2 doctors now that are great and understanding and try to work with me on whatever I want to try. That's how they SHOULD be. We should not have to argue with our doctors, when we already feel like crap.

You take care!!
