Hey Stef,

How are you?

No, I am the one of thinking of getting my uterus out, not Lisa. I'm glad the Mirena works for you, but I have heard too many women say it does the opposite of what it's supposed to. I have a friend who is on it right now and she has been bleeding for 5 months straight! Heavy like a period too.

I am 36 and am pretty sure I don't want kids, so having my uterus out with my lap sounds like it would get rid of most of the pain. My bleeding is sooooo heavy too. It interferes with my life just as much as the pain does. It would be heaven to never have another period! I'm almost 100% positive that I just don't want to take anything synthetic anymore or do Lupron to help my endo.

I'm going to get as much excised as possible with my specialist, then hope that my bio-identical progesterone is enough to supress my estrogen, so the endo does not grow back. I also talk to another Steph on here. She is waiting for her first Lupron shot to wear off. It made her bones hurt! I feel bad for anyone who gets all these terrible side effects with these different medications. You are lucky the Mirena is working for you.

If you read my July 7th entry that says "The Cause of Endo" it will explain a lot about me and why I am making these decisions. Maybe you have an ovarian cyst like I do...Is it like random sharp stabbing pains? I used to get them a lot when I was on the pill. This is the first one I've had in 4 years. They DO hurt with just the slightest pressure on them. You have to wear loose clothing. Thanks for the advice, but Mirena scares me just like Lupron does. :(

Have a good weekend!
