Re: Hair loss & hormone balanceFrom: andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri Jul 27 16:05:45 2007
Hello Everyone, I had MAJOR hair loss when I was on the BC pill all those years, not to mention acne. I felt like a shedding dog everywhere I went! I know Lupron itself causes hair loss and acne, but being estrogen dominant or taking estrogen pills also causes it. So, if your add-back has estrogen, that's contributing to the hair-loss too. Now that my hormones are balanced and I'm not on the pill, I have thicker hair than I have EVER had before and I rarely break out! I used to keep my hair short, otherwise it was noticable how thin it was. Now, it's almost down to my butt and really thick and healthy! Getting your hormones balanced fixes a lot of things. Unfortunately, it can't undo what years have birth control have done to my endo or I would not need surgery! I applied for new, cheaper insurance and pray that it goes through. My deductible on my other plan is $10,000 and the new one is $3500. I hope to get my lap in August or Sept. I will be eager to hear from D! She had a lap done yesterday. Everyone have a good weekend!
