can anyone help with ultrasound pic?

Hello all my endo sisters.....I have been suffering with endo for many years now and have had 3 laps for removal of endo from just about every abdominal structure I possess. I've been on lupron, then Femara on and off for about a year.

My symptoms improved for a while but now, since I stopped the Femara, they seem to be creeping back with a vengance.

I had an ultrasound today - both regular and transvaginal. My usual technician would have told me if she saw a cyst but the one I had today refused to let me see the screen or disclose what she saw. I know she isn't supposed to tell me as she is not a radiologist but she kept shaking her head in a puzzling way the whole time and would not show me the screen. When I got up from the table, I was able to see one screen shot with what looked like a big, solid white mass on the left side on or near the ovary.

Does anyone know if that is what it is supposed to look like? Do cysts and endo show up as white or dark patches on the transvaginal ultrasound?

I have an appointment for the results but I am just curious to see if anyone had any idea since most have been through many, many, many of these exams.

I was also wondering if anyone has had luck with Femara for their endo. I tried it after the Lupron caused severe bone pain but after a month on the femara, the bone pain returned more severely that with the lupron. Does anyonen know if this is a side effect of the drug or of being in menopause?

I tell you, if menopause causes that kind of bone pain, I'm going to have a very difficult time of it!

I don't use this board often but I hope that everyone is trying to find some peace and comfort in any way they can with this disease. The toll it can take on life is sometimes very difficult to bear - but we can all get through it when we have support and this board has been kind to me over the years.

If anyone has any answers for my questions, I'd greatly appreciate your input.

Thanks all, Hang in there!
