Becky, I am so sorry I didn't respond to your post yesterday. I was trying to talk to everyone. I've been out of town for the 4th and just got back on Thursday, so I've been eager to get on here and see how everyone is doing. I was on major pain killers from Saturday til yesterday because my period came early, so in my loopy state, I may have skipped over your post. :(

I too, have been offered the option of uterine ablation, but have heard different things about it. The opinion of my specialist now who I am going to says that only 50% of women stop bleeding completely after getting it, while the other half still get spotting or the same bleeding they had. I don't want to discourage you at all, but this is what I was told by Dr. Dulemba, and he is an associate of Dr. Redwine, who everyone says is the best out there. I have read that a lot of women stop having cramps afterwards, but those are women who just have UTERINE CRAMPS and not endo. My doctor also diagnosed me with ADENOMYOSIS with a sonogram he did, endo that is deep inside the uterine muscle. The ablation only freezes and destroys a thin lining of the inner uterus and does not go deep enough to reach the adenomyosis. Did he tell you that you can't have children after this procedure as well?

Here is a picture of what ADENOMYOSIS LOOKS LIKE: http://www.fibroidworld.com/Adenomyosis.jpg

I was hoping that could be a cure for me too, but he said it would do little. Are you seeing a specialist?

Tell me a little of you history with endo....

I asked D about the Uterine ablation too and she says it would not help. She seems to know a lot on here too. My doc says now, that removing my uterus is the only way to get out the Adenomyosis, so I have a lot to think about. I may just deal with my 3 days of pain a month until I hit menopause. You mentioned that you have EXTREME FATIGUE....please read my post on the 7th that says "The Cause of Endo" because you may have the hormonal imbalances that I had and taking progesterone may be all you need to feel a lot better! I used to feel soooo tired every single day, depressed, mood swings, hair falling out, and now all that junk is gone because I got my hormones tested and balanced 4 years ago. I hope the info can give you some HOPE.

TAKE CARE, BECKY
