Re: To Amruta, finding a doctor and what hormones to get tested

Amruta, I'm glad my information could give you some insight into what may be causing all of your symptoms. For so many years, doctors wanted to put me on anti-depressants, but the imbalance was NOT in my brain, it was in my HORMONES!

I am like you, I try to mostly take herbal medicines if I can. I think all of the sythetic hormones that doctors prescribe are the reasons there is so much endometriosis, breast and cervical cancers among women now days.

The first step in helping you is you MUST find a doctor who believes in Natural Hormone Replacement, is knowledgable about hormones, and will test you the correct day of your cycle. I have had 3 conventional doctors tell me that testing my progesterone was a useless test - THAT IS NOT TRUE!

You could ask your GP to test your hormones, but he may refuse or say it's not necessary.

I am going to give you a link that lists doctors in ALL STATES who practice alternative medicine. You can make some phone calls and see if they are on your insurance and ask to speak to a nurse and see if they can test your hormones because you are having symptoms of Estrogen Dominance. Have your thyroid tested too, so they can rule that out, since your GP thinks that's what it is. Feel free to e-mail me too, if you want to talk more confidentially.

HERE IS A LINK OF WHAT HORMONES TO HAVE TESTED, and what the normal levels should be:

I really hope this helps you! Andrea :)
