Hi Conny,

I have had endo and severe pain for over 20 years now, and have gradually found several things that help. The first 2 days of my period I have to take 5-10mg of Vicodin or Lortab every 4-6 hours. ITS BAD! A few months ago, my aunt was telling me about the IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) pills she was on, because my pain during my period sounded similar to hers.

My vagina hurt as well, it would feel like severe labor pains, (or I'm guessing) like my insides were falling out, but I learned that my bowel would inflame and spazm the first days of my period too and was putting extreme pressure on everything. I went and got what she was taking, it's called Bentyl. It did help a lot with my period 2 months ago, but not with my last one. It took away all the inflammation in my colon and intestines and spazms, but I still had extreme pain in my ovaries. With endo, you need to treat multiple things, so she probably needs a good pain med, an anti-spazm med like Bentyl and I also take Arnica Montana, an herbal anti-inflammatory that you can get at Whole Foods. Hope this info helps you! Take care.
