Yeah, it happens - just happened to me, too. I was supposed to have surgery on the 19th, now it's moved to the 26th. That's not so good for me because I'm a teacher and need all the time I can get to heal before school starts! But my doctor's already booked for the 12th. I wish I could do it on the 13th! Wanna trade? ;-)
