-- Hi, like you I am new to the forum. I have read some of the messages and found them useful, however I am also thinking I may be going through the menopause. I am 50 (almost), and have very irregular periods even though I am on Duphaston. I get a period between 7 and 10 days early and they are always quite heavy. I mentioned to my Dr that I may be going through the menopause but she didn't seem too bothered as I don't get hot flushes etc. I am reluctant to have more surgery as I don't really think it solves anything, what are your experiences?? I am due to go in for a Laparoscopy in Aug but I think I will cancel, mostly because I am very scared and can't see it helping much. I personally don't know anyone with endo so it is hard for my friends to really understand what I go through and it's the heavy periods that bother me most as I feel I can't plan a Holiday or big event when I'm due and now that I'm getting a period every two weeks is manking it even harder. I can't wait for my periods to stop altogether and I hope it's soon. Also I have been offered a hysterectomy but If I'm going through the meno I'm wondering is it worth it as I've read some messages from people who have had one and their endo has still returned.. Sorry to go on but I am so fed up with it all. ro
