EndometriosisFrom: Angie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jun 27 16:24:49 2007
After having my second child in 2004 I have had painful periods to the point where I just lay on the floor unable to move. I was told I may have endometriosis and the dr suggested a low hormone birth control. I have always had problems with birth control effecting my emotions so stopped taking it and decided to have another baby. My labor was more painful than my first two. I had severe constant pain on my left side that was not relieved with epidural or other pain medications for the last three hours of labor and after for several hours. I am wondering if endometriosis could have been the cause of this? Also, since I have restarted menstrating I have pain and diarrea during periods, and now pain duing intercourse. I am trying to figure out if there is anything besides hormones and surgery to help.
