Call the doctor anyway so it goes into your file. They may still be able to at least make your appointment earlier, even if he's not there. They might even agree to call in something for the nausea if you ask (but I'd be surprised if they were willing to call in pain killers).

Otherwise, do you have a primary care doctor that you can call? It can be quite surprising at first, how badly this disease can effect us, but what your feeling is real and I know there are many days I would have to leave work if I weren't able to take pain killers.
