Hi Mary -

You aren't bugging anybody! I think it's pretty normal - two weeks is not very long. Did you have open abdominal surgery, or did they do it laparoscopically? Either way, you had major surgery and are certainly still healing! It can take four weeks to recover from extensive laparoscopic excision even without having any organs removed. Did you have similar pain before surgery? This hysterectomy support site might be more helpful: http://www.hystersisters.com/

If it were me, I'd probably call the doctor who did the surgery, just to be on the safe side. Maybe they can help you out with something for the pain, and it will help put your mind at ease. Are you taking a stool softener? That should help with the constipation. Your bowels are right up against the surgery sites so it isn't surprising that it hurts to go!

I hope you are feeling better soon!
