Question for AprilFrom: andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jun 25 16:51:05 2007
Hi April, how are you? I have read in your post that you have had 3 lap surgeries. My question is, how much better do you feel than before any of your surgeries? I am being faced with getting my first surgery, which I thought would probably go pretty smoothly, but Thursday, my doctor could see what he thought was Adenomyosis (endo) deep inside my uterine muscle wall. He said it can't be removed with laparscopy, so I could still have the same pain after the surgery, or it could be better. Do I take the risk??? He said the only way to cure adenomyosis is to take Lupron to shrink it (which I absolutely refuse to do) or have my uterus taken out. I feel backed into a corner. Should I have just the laparscopy and pray that that will cure my pain enough, or go ahead and have my uterus removed as well? I'm confused and scared. I have til August to think about it, because my doctor travels the month of July. Your opinion would mean a lot to me, thanks.
