I just thought I'd add my Lupron story to the mix. I did 3 monthly shots of Lupron. After the 1st shot I hurt like heck for 2 weeks and then was pain free for a week. I then had a nasty period. During this 1st month I was super emotional also...cried about EVERYTHING and I do mean EVERYTHING!! Example. I bent my finger nail back and broke it... yep bawled like a baby!! After my 2nd shot my endo pain calmed down but did not completely go away. I started feeling really achy in all of my joints but the emotions calmed down. A week before my 3rd shot I started having endo pain that was almost as bad as it had been before the shots. A week after my 3rd shot I ended up in the hospital w/ chest pain and an abnormal EKG. They ruled out any serious heart issues but think it was caused by the Lupron. My endo pain came back full force. I did not have the add back at all because of being high risk for a blood clot. I never did have hot flashes or any other side effects except what was mentioned above. I can say I've done it now though and we know it does not work for me. Good luck to you!
