Re: Tranquillizer before lap? (can they give an oral one?)From: ada (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jun 21 19:47:20 2007
I was given valium to keep me calm the few days before surgery. However, I did not take it the morning of surgery. But, as soon as I got there they got me hooked up and was given something in my iv. I told the nurses and the anthestiologist about my fear and they took good care of me. But, that is something you should ask your doctor about at your pre-op. Also, do not feel bad about asking for something to keep you calm the few days before surgery, if needed. Good luck!!
