Re: worried about you, MaggieFrom: andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed Jun 20 20:02:59 2007
Yes, glad you read up on the Premarin. I wanted to tell you how bad I thought it was, but didn't want you to think that I was trying to scare you or just being negative. It made my aunt very sick. It has been proven over and over that synthetic hormones cause cancer, yet doctors prescribe the hell out of them! That's why I was so pissed when that doc I saw a month ago was telling me that my natural progesterone was dangerous. He didn't know a damn thing about it, what it was made from - ANYTHING! He wanted to put me on the Mirena IUD and I have read plenty of accounts from women who say that thing is a nightmare too. They have not found natural progesterone to cause any negative effects in any way as of yet, (although there have not been many studies) and I have tried to find women who have had bad reactions from it, but can't! It sure is easy to find people who feel like shit from Lupron though....go with your gut, dump your doc and find someone to check you for kidney stones before you finish your Lupron (if you do) - that could be the fix to your problem and a lot of your pain right there.
