Re: To D on IBS...From: andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon Jun 18 03:11:25 2007
I agree with you about the endo-IBS thing. I don't know how they can diagnose IBS when you have endo symptoms, but I know my endo CAUSES my IBS because when im not approaching or on my period, I am fine and can eat anything. If I eat spicy food or anything with caffeine or have alcohol before my period - watch out! My stomach blows up like a balloon and my pain is 10 times worse. I always thought all my pain was coming from my uterus but I think half of it comes from my intestines behind my uterus. The anti-spasm pills help quite a bit. I feel so lucky now that I have somewhere to turn and talk to other women who are going through what I am. I am getting my first lap surgery in mid July or beg of August and will need all the encouragement I can get. Thanks for being here, D!
