Re: Endo to KalexFrom: andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu Jun 14 16:32:13 2007
Trying to find a doctor who will actually give you the tests and help you need is very hard to find. It took me 10 doctors over 20 years to find someone who could finally help me relieve some of my pain and tell me what the hell was going on with my body. Birth control pills NEVER helped my cramps and in fact, I think they made them worse. I had less bleeding, but more severe pain and more ovarian cysts than when I was not on the pill! If you have endometriosis, most doctors say that you cannot see it on an ultrasound. My doctor told me however, you can see it with an MRI. If your pain is really bad, you will probably need a laparscopic surgery sometime in the future. That's what all of us on here talk about and are going through, so you are not alone. Try to find an endometriosis specialist in your area. Don't waste your time on regular OBGYN's. I live in Dallas and am going to a specialist in Denton, TX. What state do you live in? A lot of women on here have some good doctors. I've heard of another doc who is supposed to be really good, Dr. Redwine, but I don't know what state he's in.
