Re: Sciatic Endometriosis (hip, leg pain) - Anyone have it...Anyone been treated properly for it?

I have had about 3 periods this year where it felt like having both a
pinched nerve in my lower back and like someone was giving me a biopsy
of my cervix, pinching really hard! That freaked me out. Painkillers
would not even work on that! This new specialist I've found (who I've
also mentioned to others on here) says women can get endo ANYWHERE. He
seemed to know more about endo than any other Dr. I've been to. Dr.
John Dulemba in Denton, TX. I am going to him for my first lap surgery
in a month or two. I still get really achy, throbbing pain with my
period, but have not had a "pinching feeling" since I've been taking
this herbal anti-inflammatory. It's called Arnica Montana and you can
get it at Whole Foods or The Vitamin Shoppe. I start taking it 2-3 days
before my period and it seems to be keeping a lot of the swelling down
during my bleeding. I am going to take it before my surgery too, to
minimize swelling. All those other NSAIDS that doctors have given me
over the years, Vioxx, Celebrex...ect, just gave me ulcers!

>>I too have endo which i have had 3 ops for as it was stage 4-5. For 4 years I have had pain tight, burning, prickling, undescribable pain in my hip, groin, leg, back, buttock, sciatica, going down to underneathe my leg, inner thigh, labia and pubic area all on left side. I have been to every doctor and have had x-rays, scans but nothing has showed up. I keep telling my gyne that this is either endo in these areas or a nerve is trapped or something but to no avail. She is finally sending me to a chronic pelvic pain doctor and they might be able to give me a pain block on the nerve if it is a nerve. Also I am starting pysio in two weeks time for back pain so if any of this helps i will let you know. I dont have periods now as i have been put on a constant pill without any breaks but my pain will start up bad in these areas when i come to the end of the pill and also if i get breakthrough bleeding so i know it is connected to either my womb, ovary or endo. As i say the pain is always there but when i bleed it is worse and it is the only thing now that is stopping me from working as i know have my periods under control, hopefully these treatments will work so I can get my life back. I will keep you posted and please anyone feel free to email back to me with symptoms or treatments i think it great that we can share and get support from others. bye for now. teresa
