Becky, I absolutely felt like it was the end of the world when I was depressed. Would lay in bed for days at a time, not shower, not eat, just get up to use the restroom and that's it. I don't think anti-depressants are that bad or make you a person that you're not. I think they just block negative thoughts and keep you from being less irritated by things. Stay on them if you feel better. Thats kind of what the progeserone does too, but without the first week of yucky side effects. I think a lot of us may need a little of both, because endo is a frickin stressful, depressing thing to have. Hope you feel better. :)
